Dr. Salt received his MD degree from The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio in 1972. In 1977, he completed training in internal medicine and the subspecialty of gastroenterology at Vanderbilt University Hospitals in Nashville, Tennessee, where he also served as a Chief Medical Resident. Dr. Salt helped to found and practiced with the Ohio Gastroenterology Group for 36 years. He now has his own direct care/pay practice (IBS & Gut Microbiome Solutions), focused upon the diagnosis and care of patients suffering with IBS, SIBO, and disorders involving the gut microbiome.
